Heru Inaugurates Bentara Budaya Art Gallery at Kompas Tower

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono inaugurated the Bentara Budaya Art Gallery on the eighth floor of Kompas Tower, Jalan Palmerah Selatan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (9/26).

At the same time, he also opened a collection exhibition entitled 'Wajah Manusia Indonesia' (Faces of Indonesian Humanity).

The inauguration of Bentara Budaya Art Gallery and the opening of this collection exhibition coincided with Bentara Budaya's 41st anniversary.

He explained Bentara Budaya could continue to be a forum for artists to develop various works that depict Indonesian culture and art in its new age.

He assessed this gallery and exhibition could become a new tourist destination for the public, especially painting lovers.

"Happy 41st anniversary and this is an additional tourist destination for painting lovers. Hopefully, we can increase the number of tourists who come and visit Jakarta," he explained.

He continued Bentara Budaya Art Gallery and the collection exhibition could now be enjoyed by the public, especially painting lovers. Hopefully, the Bentara Budaya Gallery could become a space for artists to work and share inspiration.

"Bentara Budaya Gallery is here to introduce the work of famous artists," he added.

Kompas Gramedia CEO, Lilik Oetomo uttered the Kompas Gramedia Cultural Institute has regularly displayed various artistic and cultural expressions from the archipelago for more than four decades. He believes that the existence of Bentara Budaya is another face of Kompas Gramedia.

Bentara Budaya Art Gallery is an exhibition space to showcase art collections and artistic creations from Indonesian and international artists.
