Layanan Samsat DKI Dibuka Sampai Sabtu

Good News! Jakarta Samsat Service Opens Until Saturday

Vehicle Document Registration Center (Samsat) offices' service days spread across five administrative city areas are extended to Saturdays starting in October 2023.

Now residents don't need to worry anymore

Regional Revenue Board Head, Lusiana Herawati said the policy was motivated by the high number of Jakarta residents who only have free time on weekends to conduct administration or pay their vehicle tax at the Samsat office.

"Now residents don't need to worry anymore because they can pay motorized vehicle tax on Saturday," she expressed, Monday (2/10).

West Jakarta Samsat Office Crowded by Taxpayers

It only applies to the main Samsat offices which are spread across five administrative city areas (excluding outlet services and mobile Samsat).

She explained those who pay motor vehicle tax at the Samsat office can take advantage of regional tax incentives in the form of eliminating administrative sanctions for interest arising from late payment of tax owed. This policy of eliminating administrative sanctions is valid until December 29.

The sanctions elimination is by the Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency's Decree regarding the Elimination of Occupational Administrative Sanctions for motorized vehicle tax and vehicle-ownership transfer fees.

"By doing so, people can freely and easily pay their vehicle tax obligations," she hoped.

Here is the schedule and opening hours for the Jakarta Samsat office services:

- Monday to Friday: 8 AM to 3 PM

- Saturday: 8 AM to 12 PM

- Sunday: Closed
