Commission B Approves Rp 793 Billion for Allocation of Subsidized Cheap Food Budget 2024

Jakarta DPRD Commission B approved a budget allocation amounting to Rp 793 billion for the subsidized cheap food program 2024.

The Jakarta Government is currently synchronizing data on aid recipients

Jakarta DPRD Commission B Chairman, Ismail said a joint working meeting with the Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Agency (KPKP) agreed on a subsidized cheap food program budgeted in the APBD amounting to Rp 793 billion.

"The subsidized cheap food program 2024 budget allocation is Rp 793 billion for 924,332 beneficiary residents," he expressed, Thursday (10/19).

Commission B: Security Level in Markets must Be Optimized

According to him, the Council also asked the Jakarta Provincial Government to make various efforts to ensure that the budget allocation for the subsidized cheap food program in the Draft APBD 2024 was realized on target.

"The Jakarta Government is currently synchronizing data on aid recipients from a number of programs, namely Jakarta Smart Card, Jakarta Elderly Card, Jakarta Worker Card, and so on," he explained.

He went on to say that the Commission B also asked the Jakarta KPKP Agency to coordinate across regional apparatus organizations (OPD), including the Education Agency (Disdik), Social Agency (Dinsos), and Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency to adjust data on recipients of cheap food subsidies.

"The KPKP Agency as the leading sector in budgeting coordinates with several SKPDs that have social assistance programs," he continued.

While Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati explained the target recipients of the cheap subsidized food program 2024 include KJP and KLJ holders, KPJ, honorary teachers, Family Welfare Development (PKK) cadres, Public PPSU, people with disabilities, PJLP, and Flat residents.

"Beneficiaries will receive cheap food subsidies by paying Rp 126,000 and will receive a package containing 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of beef, 1 piece of chicken meat, 1 kg of egg, 1 kg of mackerel, and special milk for KJP recipient children," he stated.
