The new water channels are seen being built on Jalan Kota Bambu Selatan II and V, RT 09/10, Kota Bambu Selatan Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-district.

West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Purwanti said the channels were built, as the location does not yet have a channel. For drainage, residents only use pipes so it is unoptimal and prone to flooding during heavy rain.
"The channel construction at these two points is based on residents' requests submitted through the Musrenbang forum 2022," she expressed, Wednesday (11/1).

The work on Jalan Kota Bambu Selatan III will be 68 meters long and will start on September 18, 2023. Then on Jalan Kota Bambu Selatan V, it will be 82 meters long and will start on October 20, 2023.
"It is targeted for completion by the end of this month. Hopefully, it will be able to minimize flooding in the rainy season," he hoped.
