Four water channels are being built in the Cipinang Indah Housing Complex, Cipinang Muara Urban Village, Jatinegara, which aim to overcome the inundation that often occurs in the area.

Drainage Development and Improvement Division Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri said the four channels construction has been carried out since mid-October and is targeted to be completed in the upcoming December. Work progress also varies, according to the volume being worked on.
"It aims to follow up on residents' proposal through Musrenbang," he expressed, Tuesday (10/31).

The channels built were each on Jalan Cipinang Indah I, Jalan Pinang Merah segment towards Sunter River, 135 meters long. They were built using U-Ditch concrete in the size of 120x120x120 measuring 14 meters long, 120x120 centimeters measuring 105 meters long, and box culverts in the size of 200x200 centimeters measuring 16 meters long.
"Currently, work progress at that location has reached 85 percent," he explained.
Then on Jalan Cipinang Indah I, the Jalan Nusa Indah Raya to Jalan Pinang Merah is 164 meters long, using U-Ditch concrete measuring 150x150x120 centimeters for 18 meters, box culvert 150x150 centimeters for 146 meters. Currently, work progress is still at zero percent because it started this week.
Then on Jalan Cipinang Indah I, the Jalan Mawar Raya to Jalan Nusa Indah Raya is 258 meters long, using U-Ditch concrete measuring 150x150x120 centimeters for 214 meters, box culvert 150x150 centimeters for 28 meters, box culvert 200x200 centimeters for 16 meters. Currently, work progress has reached 15 percent
Next, on Jalan Cipinang Indah I, the Jalan Cipinang Indah I to Jalan Mawar Raya is 144 meters long, using U-Ditch concrete measuring 150x150x120 centimeters along 113 meters, box culvert measuring 80x80x100 measuring 12 meters long, box culvert measuring 150x150 centimeters along 19 meters. Currently, work progress has reached 30 percent.
"Hopefully, it will be completed on time," he stated.
