Nine Bridges in Menteng Repainted

Nine bridges that stretch over the Jalan Surabaya Connecting Channel, Menteng, Central Jakarta have been repainted.

Menteng Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit Head, Reza Febyanto said the repainting was carried out, as the bridge was dull and peeling a lot.

"We painted it yellow, black, and grey," he expressed, Thursday (11/9).

According to him, those bridges have a length of nine meters. It has been ongoing since Tuesday (11/7) and is targeted for completion by the end of this week.

"We send six personnel to the site," he explained.

Besides improving the city's beauty, it was expected to prevent accidents, as the bright colors used to paint bridges could also serve as boundary markers.

"Hopefully, it can minimize the number of accidents at night," he stated.
