We appreciate the Acting Governor's commitment
This replacement is a strategy of the Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, to improve the safety of motorists when traveling on the highway.
"We appreciate the Acting Governor's commitment to providing driving comfort for all elements of society. This is proof that there are no policies that are not pro-environment and that he is serious about ensuring the safety and comfort of motorists on the road," he expressed, in his written statement, Thursday (11/9).
Dishub Employees Take the Lead with Bike to Work FridaysAccording to him, Jakarta, as a city that is metamorphosing into a global city, needs to carry out various infrastructure improvements, one of which is transportation.
However, he also encouraged massive traffic order education by all related stakeholders.
"In terms of infrastructure, the Jakarta Provincial Government is obliged to improve the quality and quantity according to the RPJMD targets, as well as multi-party synergy, thus residents have good traffic awareness because the spearhead of safety is awareness and caution," he explained.
He also encouraged Jakartans to think objectively and openly when responding to the policies implemented by the Jakarta Government regarding changes in the type of bike track barriers. It was because the bike track construction was originally targeted for completion in 2024 but has been completed this year.
"This is proof of the Acting Governor's commitment to supporting Jakarta as a cyclist-friendly city. Infrastructure along 303 kilometers of bike tracks has been completed," he uttered.
Previously, the Acting Governor revealed he did not rule out the possibility of adding bicycle tracks in Jakarta if it was deemed necessary and in the interests of the wider community.
"Yes, if you need to add more, that's okay. Definitely, for the good of society, we support it," he uttered to journalists, some time ago.
