BTN Jakarta Run 2023, Heru Pushes Sport Tourism and Appreciates International Participants

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, opened the Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Jakarta Run 2023 at Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, Sunday (11/12).

The participants looked enthusiastic about taking part in the international marathon event which was attended by various ages. The Acting Governor appreciated it, which was attended by around 12,000 participants.
He mentioned the Jakarta Provincial Government would continue to enliven sports tourism with various sporting activities. The existence of sport tourism would also have an impact on the increasing economy in Jakarta.

It was held in four categories, namely Marathon (42K), Half Marathon (21K), 10K, and 5K.
It was also enlivened by the food bazaar and performances by artists from the capital. It also aimed to promote Jakarta in the eyes of the world. Therefore, the BTN Jakarta Run 2023 route passed several monuments and buildings that have become icons of the city of Jakarta. As for the information, besides being attended by runners from Indonesia, it was also attended by runners from 21 countries.
Those 21 countries are United States, England, Sweden, the Netherlands, Russia, US Virgin Islands, Australia, Canada, Germany, India, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Philippines.
