Massive Cube Embankment Rebuilt on Tidung Island

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency builds an embankment using massive cubes on the north side of RT 06 and 07, RW 03, Tidung Island, South Seribu Islands.

The cube installation is still 50 meters

Tidung Island SDA Sub-agency Coordinator, Ahmad Sofyan said the cube installation as long as 135 meters was aimed to withstand tidal waves during the west wind season and bad weather.

"The cube installation is still 50 meters. It is targeted for completion within one month ahead. Per day, it involves 20 personnel," he expressed, Thursday (11/16).

Embankment Construction on West Side of Bidadari Island Resumed

He added the cubes attached were in the size of 160 centimeters high and 80 centimeters wide.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), everything goes smoothly. However, it was stopped when high tide occurred," he added.

Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Hafsah assessed the cube is very useful for residents whose homes are affected by high tide.

"They can also use this embankment for jogging. Hopefully, the work can be finished soon," he stated.
