Gernas BBI and BBWI Harvesting Ceremony, Heru Expects MSME Development

The Jakarta Provincial Government, held a Harvesting Ceremony as the peak event of the Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia (Gernas BBI) translated into National Movement Proudly Made in Indonesia and Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia (BBWI) translated into Proud to Travel in Indonesia at Taman Fatahillah, West Jakarta (11/19). The event which took place on 18-19 November had the theme 'Karya Jakarta untuk Indonesia Hebat' (Jakarta's Work for a Great Indonesia).
Hopefully, next year, it can be held again ahead of Jakarta's anniversary
It was held to increase public awareness regarding the importance of using and developing various products and tourism in Indonesia, thus it can increase the nation's confidence in the potential and quality of domestically made products.
It is in line with Presidential Decree no. 15/2021 on the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement Team, that Gernas BBI was launched to further encourage strengthening national economic growth through strengthening MSMEs.

Hopefully, next year, it can be held again ahead of Jakarta's anniversary," expressed Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, in the Jakarta Government's press release.
It was attended by Deputy for Tourism and Creative Economy of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Odo RM Manuhutu; Finance Ministry’s Government Debt Paper Director, Loto S. Ginting; Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo; Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head, Andhika Permata; and other related officials.
To provide a wider marketing platform and enliven the Harvesting Ceremony activities, 70 MSME booths assisted by the Jakarta Government, Bank Indonesia and BUMN were also presented at the exhibition of superior MSME products.
It also served as an award night for the winners of the competition which had been held previously as a series of Gernas BBI-BBWI. There were also entertainment stages ranging from regional dance cultural performances, to performances by artists from the capital.
