The PD Pasar Jaya plans to renovate two traditional markets which are located in North Jakarta. Both are Walang Baru in Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village and Pelita in Sungai Bambu Urban Village.

“Fund for market renovation is taken from without
involving third party,” said Assistant Manager of North Development I, Sugeng Purnomo, Friday
(3/27).
Purnomo stated later on, the peddlers will be relocated to a temporary shelter in the market's parking lot area. While for street vendors, he promised to provide a permanent shelter after the renovation.
“In this project, we continue to coordinate with the city administration to
synergize with each other,” he disclosed.
