South Jakarta Gears Up to Face the Upcoming Rainy Season

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin said it was held to ensure that the region was ready to face disasters, either in terms of Human Resources (HR) or infrastructure.

This readiness was a must to ensure that everything needed for use if a disaster occurred at any time during the rainy season.

"I want everyone to prepare yourselves with the infrastructure you have. What is already there is reported and must be checked to ensure everything is ready or not," he expressed, Sunday (11/26).

He explained the ceremony and simulation was attended by sub-district heads throughout South Jakarta and also 200 joint personnel from elements of the army, police, PMI, Bina Marga Sub-dept, and South Jakarta SDA Sub-dept, as well as other related regional units.

"They will coordinate with each other in dealing with disasters, both before and after," he added.

It also carried out a simulation of evacuating flood victims who were washed away and sick as well as voting boxes for the election 2024.

"I'm sure that with this activity, everyone will be ready to face the worst situation if a disaster occurs in their respective areas," he said.
