End of this Year, Anchor Pool Development on Panggang Island Completed

The construction of the anchoring pool channel in the T Pier area on the south side of Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands has begun work on the Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-agency.

The work progress has touched 25 percent so far

Seribu Islands Port Development Division Head, Ahyus Wanto stated the anchorage pond construction was carried out, thus the capacity of fishing boats and regular boats could be greater.

According to him, the work is still under the initial stage, which includes driving sheet piles and concrete pile caps.

"As many as 120 sheet pile rods will be installed. From the Fari Pier towards the mainland embankment around 36 sheet piles, then continuing parallel to the mainland embankment towards the hexagon for 84 sheet piles," he expressed, Tuesday (12/12).

He explained it was realized to follow up on residents' aspirations stated in the Musrenbang 2023.

Previously, his party had carried out a location survey to measure the length, area, width and depth of the anchor pool.

"We use local budget (APBD) to build the anchor pool," he expressed.

He added it has been carried out sincw Tuesday (11/28) and is targeted to be completed by the end of this year. Then the deepening stage will be executed in 2024.

"The work progress has touched 25 percent so far," he stated.
