Anwar Monitors Infrastructure Development in Duren Sawit

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhamad Anwar and his ranks, took time to monitor the construction of sidewalks, bridges, and street lights on Jalan Arafuru, Duren Sawit, Tuesday (11/21).

According to him, the construction of sidewalks on the left and right sides of the road, as well as bridges over connecting channels on the Jalan Laut Arafuru, is a street complex program to make the area more orderly and beautiful.

"We welcome and appreciate it. Besides beauty, the environment is also more neatly arranged. It becomes a new face that gives an aesthetic impression," he expressed.

He hoped that it could be useful and provide comfort for residents.

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. Head, Benhard Hutajulu explained the ongoing work included the construction of new sidewalks on both sides of the road, the construction of a bridge with a length of 8.6x6 meters above the box culvert of the Laut Arafuru Connecting Channel, as well as the installation of 158 new street lights, and branch model with 29 poles.

"Next year, there will be six benches on the sidewalk for the convenience of residents," he explained.

Road and Bridge Division Head, Beny Situmorang added the sidewalk construction on Jalan Arafuru on the west sise has a length of 880 meters and a width of 2.5 meters. Thus far, the work progress has touched 86 percent.

"As for the sidewalk on the east side has a length of 850 meters and a width of two meters. The work progress has touched 96 percent," he concluded.
