Buildings Along Kalimalang Inspection Road Demolished

As many as 15 joint personnel comprised of Satpol PP, Army, Police, Urban Village and Sub District Working Unit, demolished dozens of buildings on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, East Jakarta which affected by Bekasi, Cawang, Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) highway construction project as well as Kalimalang inspection road widening, Monday (3/30).

The demolishment is for the shake of road widening on Kalimalang inspection and Becakayu flyover

East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana expressed the demolishment is a continuation of the previous one. The entire building have been bought since 1997-2013.

“The demolishment is for the shake of road widening on Kalimalang inspection and Becakayu flyover,” he said when being led the demolishment.

So far, Musyawardhana added, there are so many land owned by residents which have not been bought. It starts from Penas T-Junction until Caman, Bintara, Bekasi T-Junction. Commonly, the building have not been bought because of there was no budget from Public Work Ministry (Kemen PU) last year.

“Currently, the budget is already prepared. We hope the residents prepare the document for re-examination before we buy the land,” he uttered.

Duren Sawit Sub District Head, Abu Bakar added, in Duren Sawit vicinity at least there are still 5 parcels of land which have not been bought. Among them are owned by Auto 2000 and Mitsubishi. "They have the certificate and asked for another measurement. It determines to know the location and boundaries,” Bakar added.
