City Secretary Inaugurates PAM Jaya Corporate Learning Center

City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono, inaugurated the PAM Jaya Corporate Learning Center at the Buaran Kalimalang Water Treatment Plant (IPA) Building, Jalan Laksamana Malahayati, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Friday (12/22).

We have a long-term master plan that must be worked on in stages

The inauguration was marked by pressing the siren button with PAM Jaya Managing Director, Arief Nasrudin; East Jakarta Vice Mayor, Mutmainah; Jakarta DPRD Commission B Secretary, Wa Ode Herlina, and other officials.

According to him, the existence of the PAM Jaya Corporate Training Center was expected to produce quality human resources. Thus, PAM Jaya would later become a world-class BUMD company that could meet the need for clean water throughout Jakarta and its surrounding areas.

City Secretary Joko: Spirit of National Defense is Important!

"We have a long-term master plan that must be worked on in stages, including the provision of raw water, both from the east and west sides. We're coordinating with the Ministry of Public Works for the supply of raw water," he expressed.

Actually, BUMDs in Jakarta have Corporate Training Centers like PAM Jaya. For teaching staff, they would be able to synergize with the Education Agency.

Principally, all employees in Jakarta have at least 40 hours a year to study. Moreover, there is currently a Jakarta Corporate University.

He hoped that PAM Jaya could prepare professional instructors to produce quality human resources in the Corporate Training Center by collaborating with qualified professionals and former employees.

"However, the composition must include more professionals," he stated.

PAM Jaya Director, Arief Nasrudin explained the construction of the Corporate Learning Center at the BPO (Buaran Project Office) was to support the development and ensure that PAM Jaya employees were competent in serving the residents of Jakarta.

According to him, the PAM Jaya Corporate Learning Center was built on November 9, 2023, using an old building covering an area of 1,200 square meters. The building was renovated and divided into six training rooms.

"PAM Jaya Corporate Learning Center is a corporate learning center supported by advanced multimedia technology. This facility is capable of supporting offline training activities for 325 participants simultaneously," he expressed.

He also presented 30 guests from PAM Jaya Batch 1 management trainee (MT) candidates who had been screened from 4,000 participants who applied. They had gone through six strict selection stages, namely general requirements selection, MT test, interview panel of prospective users, MCU, and assessment of core competency or suitability with PAM Jaya.

To prepare future leaders, the party held a Leadership Development Program for the company internally.

This step aims to realize the mandate given by the Jakarta Government to achieve the target of 100 percent service coverage and a total number of home connections of two million customers by 2030.

In the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development (MP3EI) document, it is stated that on Indonesia's 100th Independence Day, in 2045, it is predicted that Indonesia will become one of the seven economic powers in the world.
