West Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Resources (SDA) is adding the capacity of water channel at Kartika Alley, RT 03/04, Meruya Utara Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district.

Kembangan SDA Head, Mulyadi, said the work is implemented by dredging the mud inside the channel along 200 meters.
"The dredging is carried out as a routine maintenance since the mud is already thick," he said, Monday (1/8).

He added that the work has reached 40 percent and is targeted to complete by the end of this month.
Jaka Suparman (52), a local resident, admitted happy with the work being run.
"We hope the dredging will add the channel capacity and also prevent inundation," he stated.
