Bina Marga Repairs Broken Escalator of Kebayoran Skywalk JPO

The Jakarta Bina Marga Agency is repairing the broken escalator of the Kebayoran Lama/Velbak Skywalk Pedestrian Bridge (JPO), South Jakarta.

New spare parts are being processed

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Heru Suwondo expressed the damage was only to the lower part of the stairs.

"But, the escalator going up is still functioning well," he expressed, Monday (1/8).

He explained it was still under maintenance by the provider. The broken had been coordinated with the provider since last year. Escalator repairs were targeted to begin mid-January 2024.

"New spare parts are being processed and will be available in mid-January 2024 and repairs will be executed soon," he stated

As for the information, the descending escalator at the Skywalk Velbak JPO, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, has been broken for a long time, causing complaints from users, especially Transjakarta passengers. Users have to queue because the escalator space is not very wide.
