Kemendagri Held City Budget Meeting with Ahok and Council

City Budgetary Team (TAPD) along with regional working unit and Home Ministry conducted a meeting to discuss about 2015 city budget. The meeting was held in the Ministry Office, Thursday (4/2) morning. However, Head of City Council also attended the meeting.

Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama revealed the aimed of the meeting is to discuss about the budget using ceiling of 2014 budget by Rp 72.9 trillion. “We are just equate the opinions, actually there is no matter about it,” he said.

Ahok added, there are several things to discuss regarding the budget allocation in accordance with its designation for instance, sport arena development  (GOR) whether does it make sense or not.

“We’re going to investigate first whether to build the sport arena cost Rp 43-47 billion. Similar indication, sport event allegedly need as much as 300 people to held it, whereas other sport event which conduct by private needs only 200 people, maybe 1,000 committees, is that right?,” he uttered.

Ahok asserted  his party will eliminate the budget if there is a budget mark-up indication. Further, it will be transferred for Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) which already obviously its whereabouts.

“We might centralize the budget for BUMD. There is a bylaw stated the capital paid to Bank DKI by Rp 3 trillion, PT Jakarta Propertindo  (PT Jakpro) around Rp 10 trillion, Food station (PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya) Rp 1,5 trillion,” he asserted.
