Residents Feel Benefits of Cheap Basic Food Sales Program in Jakarta

The cheap basic food sales program initiated by the Jakarta Provincial Government is truly beneficial for residents. They admitted that they were very helpful and hope that this program will continue until Idul Fitri 2024.

Residents no longer have difficulty purchasing some basic necessities

As exprienced by Urip, a resident from Luar Batang, Penjaringan Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta, admitted that it was very helpful to get basic necessities at low prices.

"Residents no longer have difficulty purchasing some basic necessities. Hope more products will be sold," he expressed, when he bought some necessities at the Penjaringan Urban Village Office, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday (1/16).

Food Stock Remain Safe in Early 2024

He and other residents hoped that the same program could survive until the upcoming Idul Fitri 1445 Hijri.

The sale of cheap basic necessities at the Penjaringan Urban Village Office was also directly monitored by Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono.

His visit accompanied by North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim was aimed to see the activities selling cheap basic necessities and to monitor services to the community.

Based on the monitoring of Beritajakarta.id, residents seem enthusiastic about buying basic necessities at low prices.

The Acting Governor admitted his visit to the Penjaringan Urban Village Office was also to greet the Penjaringan Urban Village Head and staff, as well as see services to the community.

"There is one service being repaired, namely levies and will be active again on January 17. We also monitor directly the activities of selling cheap basic necessities here," he added.

He admitted that the interest of Penjaringan residents to buy a number of basic necessities at cheap grocery sales was very high.

"They are enthusiastic about buying a number of basic necessities sold in packages or retail at low prices," he added.

He hoped that it could be useful for Jakarta residents.

"I also hope that the five mayors will synergize with private companies to hold cheap basic food sales activities," he hoped.

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim explained the same program would also be held in several urban villages in collaboration with CSR of private companies.

"We'll urge and invite CSR from private companies to hold it to help residents meet their basic food needs at low prices, especially when entering the fasting month until Idul Firtri 2024," he stressed.
