Jakarta Food and Drug Authority (BBPOM) held education for residents at Kali Baru Urban Village, North Jakarta.

The program themed 'Choose Safe and Qualified Food, Let's Prevent Stunting," was attended by 500 people. It was held in two days, 14-15 January 2024.
The authority head, Sofiyani Chandrawati Anwar, admitted her side keeps holding similar program for Jakarta residents.

She added that unsafe food ingredients are formaline, borax, methanyl yellow and rhodamine B. Those ingredients are still being sold to the people.
"It is hoped the education in this program will advance their knowledge about how to choose safe food," she added.
She hoped the residents to be smart consumer and consuming safe food starting from the first 1,000 days of life.
Meanwhile, DPR RI Member, Dian Istiqomah, stated residents must be smart to choose or consume safe, qualified, and nutritious food. It can be done by doing Cek KLIK. It means checking the packaging, label, license, and expiration date. Use the BPOM Mobile application to check the license.
"Please check the license via BPOM Mobile app. Be a smart buyer then," she added.
