The Jakarta Bina Marga Agency is about to revitalize sidewalks on four roads this year. Those four sidewalks are on Jalan HR Rasuna Said on the West side, Jalan MT Haryono on the North side, Tanah Abang TOD Area, and Jalan Raya Duri Kosambi.
The sidewalk revitalization doesn't change the number of road lanes or is still the same as the current condition
Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Heru Suwondo stated revitalizing the sidewalks on Jalan HR Rasuna Said on the West side was starting from Simpang Gatot Subroto to Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya with an estimated length of 3,920 meters.
"In Rasuna, the asphalt was done last year and the sidewalks will be revitalized this year. Some sidewalks under LRT Jabodebek were already revitalized by Adhi Karya and the rest will be finished later," he expressed, Thursday (1/18).
Tugu Stadium Revitalization Enters Finishing StageThen the revitalization of the sidewalks on Jalan MT Haryono on the North side was conducted from Simpang Pancoran to Jalan Otto Iskandardinata continuing with an estimated length of 3,275 meters.
"The MT Haryono sidewalk on the south side has undergone a revitalization stage and will be continued on the north side," he explained.
He went on to say that the revitalization of other sidewalks in the Tanah Abang TOD area was support for the development of Tanah Abang Station initiated by the Directorate General of Railways for Ministry of Transportation, with an estimated length of 468 meters.
Lastly, the sidewalk on Jalan Duri Kosambi was a continuation of the previous year's revitalization with an estimated length of 570 meters.
"There will be development of Tanah Abang TOD. We were tasked with revitalizing the sidewalks, so the revitalization is in line with the development of Tanah Abang Station," he continued.
He added He said the width of the sidewalk would be around four meters and would be equipped with bollards, seating, PJU lights, and guiding blocks.
"It's still planning now. The sidewalk revitalization doesn't change the number of road lanes or is still the same as the current condition. The instance is on Jalan Sudirman Thamrin and the Proclamation Monument, but we can use stamp concrete or natural stone," he stated.
