Five Sidewalks in Central Jakarta will Be Revitalized Soon

The Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency is about to revitalize five sidewalks in two sub-districts spread across its territory.

Everything is done by using a third party

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Muhammad Soleh said the five sidewalks that would be revitalized were on Jalan Yusuf Adiwinata, Jalan Agus Salim, and Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Menteng.

"Revitalization on Jalan Yusuf Adiwiyata and Agus Salim is carried out on one side. Meanwhile, Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto is being worked on both sides," he said, Wednesday (8/9).

He continued the other two sidewalk points that would be revitalized are Jalan Kesehatan, Petojo Selatan, and Jalan Petojo Melintang, Gambir.

"In the sub-district, we're doing revitalization on two sides of the road," he continued.

According to him, the total length of the five sidewalk points that would be revitalized reached 2,469.20 meters with a width varying from 1.8 to 2.5 meters.

"Everything is done by using a third party," he explained.

This work has been started since mid-August and is targeted to be completed in November 2023. It was expected to make pedestrians feel more safe and comfortable when crossing.

"We apologize, during the revitalization, many pedestrians may be disturbed," he stated.
