Gotong Royong Competition Assessor Visits Kota Bambu Selatan

The Jakarta Provincial Government Gotong Royong Competition assessor visited Kota Bambu Selatan Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-district, Sunday (1/21).

Jakarta Environment Agency's Environment and Green Open Space Board Head, Silviana Tarigan, said the visit was aimed to assess local resident's participation and interest for the competition.

Inundation in Ciganjur Handled Well

The visit was done at RW 06, 08, and 09 of the urban village. The assessors are from related regional units such as LH Agency, Bina Marga, SDA, KPKP, Tamhut Agency and so on.

"Our main monitoring is resident's participation, cleanliness, and beauty," she said.

West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto stated that the West Jakarta Administration appreciates the assessor's effort in monitoring the area. He also supports the program since government and resident's synergy will be able to reach the competition goal.

Uus added that mass community work is routinely held in urban villages in West Jakarta. Kota Bambu Selatan is chosen since resident's participation is high.

"Community work is Indonesian people's characteristic. It can unite our resident too," he added.

Meanwhile, RW 06 Head of Kota Bambu Selatan Urban Village, Taufik, thanked to the assessor for visiting his area.

"We're glad that our people here are actively participate in such activity," he said.
