41 Animals in Rawa Barat Receive Anti-Rabies Vaccination

Some 41 animals received rabies vaccination held by the South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) in Rawa Barat Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, Tuesday (1/23).

Kebayoran Baru Sub-district KPKP Executing Unit Head, Surtiati said the free door-to-door vaccination held in Rawa Barat Urban Village was conducted at Cibeber Park, RW 03 and Rawa Barat Urban Village Office yard.
"This is free of charge. The requirements for rabies vaccination are at least four months old, in good health, not pregnant and not breastfeeding," she expressed, Tuesday (1/23).

"We vaccinated seven dogs and 34 cats. By doing so, this vaccination can make the animal and its owner healthy," he explained.
Rawa Barat Urban Village's Community Welfare Section Head, Yadi Setiadi added this vaccination was routinely held every year.
"Last year, we vaccinated 30 animals. I urge residents who keep pets to be more aware of providing vaccinations at least once a year," he said.
The free vaccination received appreciation from Rawa Barat Urban Village resident, Nurul Fadillah (35).
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), I brought two cats to be vaccinated. I'm grateful because there is a program from the South Jakarta administration for free rabies vaccination," he uttered.
