Besides violating Bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order, the existence of street vendors along the sidewalk on Jalan Sunan Ampel and Jalan Aditiawarman, Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, precisely behind the Electric State Company (PLN) office also make the area looks dirty.

"We will control the vendors as soon as possible," told Head of Melawai Urban Village, Anju Stovia, Wednesday (4/8).

According to Stovia, her party had warned the vendors not to sell on such sidewalk, but they still ignored it. "I have told them that the place is a prohibited area for business," she explained.

He continued, the authority of controlling lies in South Jakarta Administration. "I've proposed it in the program of development planning conferences (musrenbang). Hopefully, it can be realized this year," she hoped.

Meanwhile, Head of Kebayoran Baru Sub-District, Edy Suherman told the controlling will be done soon. But he is still finding an empty land for relocation.  "Before that, we'll do socialization first," he finished.
