2,000 PKL Have Auto Debit Cards

A total of 2,000 street vendors (PKL) in the capital has had DKI Bank auto debit cards. The card serves to pay non-cash payments per day.

"It's 2,000 PKL who use non cash," said Joko Kundaryo, Head of Department for Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMPKMP), Tuesday (9/30).

Joko added, street vendors who have received the autodebit cards are in 20 target locations (Lokbin) spread across five areas of the capital. Those are in Cililitan, Lokbin Blok B Permai Lorong 103 Koja, Meruya, Cengkareng, and Pasar Minggu. "We are deliberately take that settled like in Lokbin because it is relatively easy. They are permanent merchants and have a concentrate locations." he added.

Besides to providing autodebit cards, said Joko, his side also conducts coaching, so the PKL understand the rules and trade more orderly. Such as the shop that should not be diverted to other merchants, maintain the cleanliness, drive other vendor that not recorded, and others.

"It continues to run simultaneously. The important think is the merchants have the cards and understand the rules like the shop may not be diverted, maintain the cleanliness. PKL who not recorded should be moved, culinary merchants must hygiene, prices listed, and may not raise the price too high. We apply that first," he explained.

In recording of every street vendors, his side in cooperation with local head of sub-district and head of urban village. Based on data from KUMKMP Department of DKI Jakarta, there are 600 thousand PKL spread across five regions. Targeted in 2015, the entire PKL in Jakarta already have auto debit cards.

Street vendors daily fee is Rp 3,000 to Rp 4,000 through the auto debit system. The amount of fees prescribed by regulation and adapted to the location.

"When it comes to the target we will monitor again. There was guidance from Vice Governor, the frontline is head of sub-district and head of urban village. The role of our urban village we expect also routinely monitored. Later, the Head of KUMKMP will also accompany the head of sub-district and head of urban village. Insha Allah next year we will have 600 thousand PKL who have auto debit cards as this should be step by step and across sectors," he said.
