Ancol Performs Underwater Lion Dance for Chinese New Year 2024

At the Chinese New Year 2024 celebration, Taman Impian Ancol, North Jakarta will again feature various typical Chinese entertainment activities and attractions packaged under the theme "Ancol Lunar Festival" from February 8 to 18, 2024.
Today is the first lion dance performance in the water at Sea World Ancol
One of the displays at the Ancol Lunar Festival 2024 is the underwater lion dance at the Sea World Ancol Main Aquarium. Visitors are presented with the actions of six professional divers, one Barongsai and a Liong. For 20 minutes, they will tell a story that taints the story of the battle between the sea king and the monster.
Ancol Taman Impian Operational Director, Eddy Prastiyo said the Underwater Barongsai performance is an annual event presented to loyal visitors to Ancol. Visitors can enjoy it on February 8, 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 10.40 AM and 1.30 PM.

Then also a colossal performance packaged in the Kungfu Show theme on the Ice Age Stage which can also be seen at 1 PM during February. At Lagoon Beach, they can enjoy Fan Dance, Bian Lian, and Mongolian Dance performances with the splendor of the LED screen display stage and Lighting Show at 4 PM and 7 PM.
Then at Ocean Dream Samudra and Jakarta Bird Land, there will be a Barongsai with Dolphin performance at 11.45 AM and 2.15 PM. This year's Chinese New Year performance can be watched from February 9 to 11, 2024.
"At Atlantis Water Adventures, visitors can also enjoy our fun games from February 10 to 11 from 11.15 AM to 4 PM in the Wave Pool, Matching Pool, and Crazy Slide," he explained.
According to him, it was aimed at creating color and a festive atmosphere for visitors to Ancol, thus they could experience exciting recreation with Chinese New Year nuances in Jakarta, especially in Ancol.
"On this long weekend, we are targeting 300,000 visitors, while 10,000 per day on every ride like at Sea World," he explained.
Karmila (47), one of the visitors from Bandung admitted that she was amazed and impressed to see the lion dance in the water for the first time.
"This lion dance action also has an interesting storyline and is educational for the audience. We're invited to continue to preserve the underwater world," she stated.
