"It's very exciting and enjoyable because we can read with friends at school. Hopefully the service will routinely visit our school," she admitted, Monday (2/19).
South Jakarta Library and Archive Sub-agency Head, Johnny Sotar, explained his side deploys nine cars to serve the residents.
"The service is held every day from 9 AM to 2 PM," he explained.
The car carries 1,000 to 1,300 books. Not only school, the service also visits park, urban village, sport center, residential, car free day, and so on.
"There were 293.861 people served by the service at 284 schools and 17 public areas in South Jakarta. This year, we've already served 25,523 people," he added.
He hopes this mobile library can be enjoyed by people from various circles, especially children who still need to expand their knowledge in order to become a superior generation in welcoming a Golden Indonesia 2045.
