50 Chili Seeds Planted at Al Hasanah Kalisari Mosque

Some 50 chili plant seeds were planted in the courtyard of the Al Hasanah Mosque, Jalan Radar, RT 10/04, Kalisari Urban Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, Wednesday (2/21). The planting was initiated by urban village officials together with the Mosque caretakers (DKM), RT/RW, and PPSU administrators.

Hopefully, these chili seeds can grow well

Kalisari Urban Village Head, Siti Nurhasanah said the chili seeds planted were aid from the East Jakarta Maritime and Agricultural Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP). According to him, this location was chosen because it has quite a large area of empty land that has not been utilized.

"Hopefully, these chili seeds can grow well and the results can be enjoyed by local residents," she expressed.

Besides the chili garden, a nutrition pool would also be built at this location. In this pond, various types of fish seeds will be distributed.

"Next week, the nutrition pool will be ready for PPSU to build," he concluded.

Kalisari Urban Village's Economy and Development Section Head, Evi Widyasanti added that to help with land planning, her party deployed five PPSU members. They cleaned up garbage and wild plants growing around the area.

"We send PPSU to carry out land maintenance," he expressed.

Al Hasanah Mosque DKM Chairman, Sugeng Riyadi expressed his thanks and appreciation because the empty land, which was previously poorly maintained had now become a green area. He also hoped that the chilies could be enjoyed by residents.

"We're happy, as we can take part in the chili seed planting program in East Jakarta," he stated.
