Jakarta Wins MICE Award at ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024

Jakarta wins ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024 for category ASEAN MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) Venue. The award was delivered during ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024 held in Laos, January 27 ago.

Jakarta is ready to compete with cities throughout the world

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency Head, Andhika Permata, explained this award is a manifestation of Jakarta's readiness to compete with world cities.

"This is an indicator that Jakarta is ready to compete with cities throughout the world, especially ASEAN, as a MICE organizer. Jakarta has many venues that suit the various needs of organizing MICE, from meeting rooms to convention centers," he explained, Wednesday (2/21).

Jakarta - Kinabalu Flight is Ready to Serve

As global city, he added, Jakarta is ready to support the holding of various international events. He added that cooperation with stakeholders will be further improved.

As information, Jakarta wins the award for Meeting Room, Exhibition Venue, and Even Venue category. The winners are Ritz-Carlton Hotel Jakarta, JW Marriot Hotel Jakarta, Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, and Jakarta Convention Center.

ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024 is an initiation from ASEAN member countries as a form of appreciation for the efforts made by tourism actors to present superior and quality tourist destinations. So, it is hoped that the vision of ASEAN as a single destination can soon be realized.
