Fire Burns a Restaurant in Rawamangun Extinguished in 50 Minutes

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency extinguished fire burned a restaurant on Jalan Pemuda RT 08/04 Rawamangun, Pulogadung, Wednesday (2/21) at 9:46 PM. The fire was caused by a stove.

There is no victims caused by the incident

Sub-agency’s Operation Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman, admitted the fire was caused by stove inside the restaurant. The fire was too big and burned its surrounding.

“The fire was too big and sucked by exhaust fan. Then it burned the materials around the stove,” he said, Thursday (2/22).

Gatot admitted that his side deployed two fire trucks and eight personnel to extinguish the fire.

“Personnel extinguished the fire in 50 minutes. There is no victims caused by the incident,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rawamangun Urban Village Head, Heri Kurniawan, explained the fire was quickly handled by the personnel and it was not burn buildings next to it. The scene is also near with the East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency office.

So far, his side is not deploying PPSU personnel to clean the debris since the restaurant’s workers are already cleaning it.

“But we will deploy PPSU personnel if the restaurant ask assistance,” he admitted.
