CCTV to Be Installed in Green Open Space and City Park in North Jakarta

The green open space and city park in North Jakarta will be equipped with CCTV in order to prevent crime and vandalism.

North Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Christian Tamora Hutagalung, said city park and green open space are public area that must be taken care together.

“CCTV must be installed to prevent crime and vandalism such as on Jalan Los Sudarso green open space, precisely in front of Jalan Inspeksi Kali Sunter, RW 04, Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta,” he said, Thursday (2/22).

He added that this CCTV can make it easier if further investigation is needed if there is a violation of the rules in the green open space or park area.

“We will also tighten park and green open space guard, as well as adding the lighting and improve the facility,” he added.

According to him, people who damage or take the facility will be sued according to the law.

Meanwhile, resident of Jalan Terampil, RT 02/02, Kelapa Gading Barat, Nadine (20), admitted many green open spaces and parks in Jakarta already have good facilities.

“I often go to the park for exercise. The air is also good there,” she admitted.
