Jakarta Provincial Government Continues Cheap Market Program

In the last two months, Jakarta Provincial Government presented cheap staple food program in order to handle inflation rate and ease resident's necessity. This program will be continued up to ahead of fasting month. Residents' enthusiasm is increasingly high because they can get food needs at prices that are cheaper than the market and at an affordable location such as at urban village and sub-district offices.

A consistency that must be kept

"Residents' enthusiasm gives message to us that this program must be continued. A consistency that must be kept. Not only for residents, but also to stable inflation rate," said Acting Jakarta Governor Heru while visiting cheap market in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, Friday (2/23).

Heru explained during the program implementation in two months, the types of food needed by residents have also been increased, such as those from animal protein. This is because, apart from meeting food needs, the Jakarta Provincial Government also considers nutritional needs, so that children can get balanced nutrition.
