Susukan Residents Receive 1,041 Sacks of Rice

As many as 1,041 sacks of rice aid from Bulog were distributed to residents at the Susukan Urban Village office, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Thursday (2/22).

Susukan Urban Village Head, Andri Priwitama Maila said each sack of government food reserves (CPP) contained 10 kilograms. There were also 774 verified recipients and 267 unverified recipients.

"Today, we distributed them to 774 residents, while the rest 267 sacks were stored in the urban village first. Those who haven't received assistance should come to the urban village with complete documents, KTP, family certificate, and original invitation letter," he expressed.

His party deliberately invited residents whose data had been verified first to speed up assistance distribution. Meanwhile, those who had not been verified would be distributed later.

He went on to say that the data had not been verified as the addresses of the recipients were unclear. To be sure, the data should be verified by bringing the KTP, family card, and invitation to the sub-district office.

Sugiyati (42), a resident of RT 08/06 Susukan admitted he was thrilled with social assistance like this. Moreover, rice on the market is currently expensive.

Hopefully, assistance would continue to arrive ahead of and during Ramadan, so the residents could meet their basic needs.

"Rice is now expensive. This assistance is certainly very helpful, it can last a month's stock," he stated.
