PSN in Rawajati Produces 98.7 Percent ABJ

The Mosquito Nest Eradication Program (PSN) held in Rawajati, Pancoran, South Jakarta, effectively produced a Larvae Free Rate (ABJ) of 98.7 percent or quite good.

Rawajati Urban Village Head, Sariman said today's PSN program was implemented in RW 01, as it was suspected to be a nesting place for mosquitoes such as buckets, plant pots, and used goods.

"We search every house using flashlights to ensure that places that have the potential for stagnant water are protected from mosquito larvae," he expressed, Friday (2/23).

PSN Monitoring and Education Intensified in Tegal Alur

Through this activity, his area could be free from Dengue Fever (DHF) which often stalks residents.

"We also always urge residents to keep the environment clean. Houses or empty land must also be monitored, as they could be a source of disease," he explained.

Jumantik RW 01 Coordinator, Rawajati, Maryati said that apart from checking mosquito larvae, her side also held socialization to residents to keep intensifying independent Jumantik.

Moreover, larvae can grow in places they use daily, such as bathtubs or plant pots.

"Thus far, our ABJ is quite good at more than 95 percent. But, we also must not be careless," she closed.
