Cheap Staple Food Products in West Jakarta Sold Out

Since January 15, the Jakarta Provincial Government has consistently held cheap staple food activities to meet resident's food needs and maintain the stability of prices of staple foodstuffs which affect inflation.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono stated currently, the staple ingredients that are in great demand are animal products. Because of that, Perumda Dharma Jaya sells animal products such as eggs, frozen chicken and beef, as well as processed products.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), tens of thousands of cheap staple food packages have been distributed to beneficiaries. Today, in Kebon Sirih and Tanjung Duren Selatan, we have sold 3,500 packages. There are animal products that can be bought cheaply, hope people in need will be helped," he expressed, at Tanjung Duren Selatan Urban Village office, West Jakarta, Monday (2/26).
Perumda Dharma Jaya President Director, Raditya Endra Budiman said his party had participated in five cheap markets. At every location, products were always welcomed by residents with high enthusiasm.
"We always prepare ingredients that are much needed, thus animal product intake is sufficient. At every point, our egg stock is always sold out, despite we have provided stock for three food trucks. While, residents are also interested in chickens, as 320 of them were sold," he explained.
At every point, Perumda Dharma Jaya prepared 200 trays of eggs, 800 kg of chicken, 500 kg of whole beef, 100 kg of sliced beef, and so forth.
"So, with the amount of stock that Dharma Jaya has prepared, residents' need for animal product intake, especially before fasting and Idul Fitri, will be guaranteed. Therefore, no one should shop hastily for fear of running out of stock. Shop wisely, because our stock availability is safe," he explained.
They prepared 14 types of animal products at the market, including one frozen chicken carcass for Rp 25,000, one kg of whole beef for around Rp 90,000 to Rp 105,000, 500-gram slices of meat for Rp 55,000, one kg of beef ground for Rp 55,000, one kg of dory fillet for Rp 35,000, a tray of eggs for Rp 22,000, and so forth.
