HIV AIDS Education Given to Rawabuaya Flat Residents

West Jakarta AIDS Handling Commission gave socialization and education about the danger of HIV AIDS at Rawabuaya Flat, Rawabuaya Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district. The education was participated by 108 participants from flat residents and PJLP personnel.

Preventing is still better than medicating

West Jakarta AIDS Handling Commission's Secretary, Sukarno, hoped the education will free the residents and PJLP personnel from HIV AIDS.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Socialization Held for Scout

"Preventing is still better than medicating. That is why we need to socialize this," he said, Tuesday (2/27).

Not only education, he added, there was also free health service such as height and body measurement, weighing, and blood tension checking.

"The program also cooperates with Community Health Center," he added.

Meanwhile, one of the participants, Bagus Sriyono (34), welcomed the program positively since there is no cure for HIV AIDS at this moment.

"I am a PJLP personnel at Rawabuaya Flat. The program gave me lesson about HIV AIDS and how to prevent it," he admitted.
