Nine Days, 623 Vehicles in Jakarta Cracked Down

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate, and National Army (TNI) continue to monitor and take action against two-wheeled drivers who make contra flow on several roads in Jakarta.

This enforcement effort is in order to support smooth and orderly traffic

They managed to crack down on 623 vehicles from February 22 to March 2024 or along nine days.

Jakarta Dishub Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo said supervision and action were pushed in 62 locations spread across five areas of Jakarta. It was done simultaneously from 7.30 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 6 PM.

"This enforcement effort is in order to support smooth and orderly traffic," he added.

Hopefully, it could foster awareness and discipline in traffic through compliance with traffic signs, directions, and traffic officers to create smoothness, security, and safety on the road.

"This is also done to increase public discipline in obeying traffic orders on the road," he closed.
