Jakarta Regional Hospitals Sign MoU with Vertical Hospital

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono together with Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin signned the MoU about Excellence Service Network between Vertical Hospital (owned by Health Ministry) and Jakarta Regional Hospital.

The signing was held during Regional Health Meeting at Aston Hotel, Grogol, West Jakarta, Tuesday (3/5).

There are eleven points of cooperation, namely cardiovascular services, stroke services, respiratory and tuberculosis services, urology services, maternal and child health services, gastro hepatology services, diabetes mellitus services, lung organ transplantation, cancer services, emerging infectious disease services, and trauma services.

Heru said health sector becomes priority to support Jakarta as global city.

"I support this agreement. It will accelerate the development of superior services, increase service professionalism, and support the transformation of health services at regional hospitals in Jakarta," he said as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.

Heru hopes all related sides in Jakarta are able to run the health service transformation in order to welcome Indonesia Emas in 2045.

"I hope all related side in Jakarta to be ready to welcome Indonesia Emas in 2045 as well as Jakarta as global city," he added.

Meanwhile, Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, also welcomed the agreement. With synergy between Vertical Hospitals and Regional Hospitals in Jakarta, equal distribution of health facilities in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, can be realized.

"By this way, regional hospitals in Jakarta can gain knowledge by exchanging information related to services, health technology, and improving bureaucracy in their services. I hope that Jakarta, apart from strengthening its regional hospitals, can also transfer knowledge to existing Community Health Centers, so that the equitable transformation of health services becomes systematic," he stated.

Jakarta Health Agency Head, Ani Ruspitawati, explained this MoU is a follow-up to the MoU on priority service provider networks that was implemented in the previous year with the central government. So, it is hoped that this collaboration will accelerate the development of superior services and be in line with the transformation of health services at regional hospitals in Jakarta.

"We will also prepare an implementation plan for the integration of primary services in all Community Health Centers in Jakarta. We are targeting to implement all of them, by strengthening community-based health service programs. This will also produce programs that improve public health," she explained.

Hospitals signing the MoU are RS Umum Pusat Persahabatan, RS Pusat Otak Nasional, RS Jantung dan Pembuluh Darah Harapan Kita, RSUD Tarakan, RSUD Koja, RSUD Budhi Asih, and RSUD Pasar Minggu.
