to enrich our knowledge and increase our capacity as supervisors

The training is participated by 41 participants from Parekraf and PMPTSP Agencies.

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency's Secretary, Helma Dahlia, said the increasingly dynamic development of the tourism industry in Jakarta means that Jakarta Provincial Government will not remain silent and continue to improve by adapting to new regulations from the Central Government which regulate tourism business management.

She added that the Job Creation Law which was then followed up with the issuance of Government Regulation Number 5 of 2021 about the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing essentially aims to make it easier for business actors to run their businesses, but on the other hand requires the government to tighten business supervision.

"This activity is the right momentum for all of us to enrich our knowledge and increase our capacity as supervisors," she said, Wednesday (3/6).

Helma explained that restaurants are one type of tourism business in Jakarta which has a large contribution to regional revenue. She assessed that compliance by business actors in carrying out business standards in accordance with applicable regulations is necessary to create good quality of business management.

She continued the implementation of restaurant business standards is one of the objects of supervision, in the implementation of which the government through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has prepared guidelines for monitoring the implementation of risk-based restaurant business standards.

"These guidelines are used as a reference for steps and substance for Tourism and Creative Economy Agency in accordance with its duties and functions in ensuring that restaurant business activities comply with established standards," she continued.

The guidelines also stipulate that a supervisor must first have a certificate from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to carry out the task of supervising risk-based tourism businesses. This certificate is obtained from training or technical guidance in implementing risk-based business supervision.

"That is why the training is held today," she closed.
