Rawa Barat Urban Village Head, Merinta Hendri Purnomo, said the rice assistance disbursed by National Food Agency together with Bulog and PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, was aimed to assist vulnerable families meet their basic needs.

Hendri explained that BPB is a program for distributing aid from the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) stock managed by Bulog.
Not only for Rawa Barat Urban Village, he added, the assistance was also given to Senayan Urban Village by 19 residents and Selong Urban Village by 20 residents.
"Each residents gets 10 kilograms of rice," he added.
He hopes the assistance will give benefit for them during fasting month.
Meanwhile, Rawa Barat Urban Village resident, Sarno (47), thanked the government for providing the program.
"Thanks for the assistance since the rice price now is escalating," he stated.
