Emission Test Held in Untung Jawa Island

Seribu Island Environment Sub-agency held free emission test at Tugu Arung Samudra, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, Seribu Selatan Island Sub-district. The program was participated by 41 vehicles.

Sub-agency's Environment Pollution and Damage Handling Section Head, Sri Hayyu Alynda Heryati, explained the program served 40 motorcycles and one cart-motor.

76 Vehicles Undergo Emission Tests in South Jakarta

"15 motorcycles are failed to pass the test," she said, Thursday (3/14).

Hayyu added the emission test also tells vehicles condition and the impact for the air pollution.

"Next service will be held at Seribu Island Transit Office, Mitra Praja Building Sunter," she added.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Sidartawan, admitted supporting the program.

"The emission test is based on Governor Regulation No 66/2020 about Emission Test. We need to maintain air quality in Jakarta," he stated.

He appeals the resident to use electric vehicles to support Jakarta Blue Sky program.

Meanwhile, one of RW 03 residents, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, Achmad Syahril (37) said the program helped him much to test his vehicle.

"Now I know my vehicle condition. It also passes the test," he stated.
