Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, together with TP PKK Chairwoman, Mirdiyanti, attended RPTRA Intiland Teduh, Cilincing, North Jakarta, to monitor integrated stunting reduction program, Friday (3/15).

Heru admitted Jakarta Provincial Government remains focus in handling stunting. Several programs such as Posyandu, blood supplement tablet, as well as fulfilling nutritious food and food patterns that meet the requirements of Diverse, Balanced Nutrition and Safe (B2SA).

Apart from that, Heru also invited all stakeholders to work together to tackle stunting in Jakarta. According to him, Jakarta's children have the right to grow and develop well so that in the future they can become active, healthy and productive individuals, and be useful for the nation's progress.
Therefore, Heru appealed to mothers to regularly take their children to Posyandu for health checks and regular monitoring of their children's growth and development.

, Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati, stated various types of food can be found in the community for nutritional intake to prevent stunting. This can be obtained by buying it at the market or planting it in yard or surrounding area."From various vegetables, family medicinal plants (TOGA), and fruit plants, it contains various vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that are useful for children. It is also good to consume fresh or cooked as a main menu or snack," she stated.
According to her, RPTRA Intiland Teduh land has potential urban farming location that can be managed by RPTRA caretaker. The harvest can be shared or processed as a snack menu during Posyandu. So, activities at Posyandu are not only related to health, but also as a means of education about urban farming and diversification of food processing.
"TP PKK Jakarta can be partner to run urban farming and its processing. Residents are able to optimize land as urban farming through Poktan Hatinya PKK. Self-produced food has several advantages, including being healthier, fresher and safer to consume, both in fresh and processed form," she closed.
