Dishub: 232 Two-Wheeled Vehicles Netted in Five Days

Joint personnel from the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate, and army (TNI), cracked down on 232 vehicles from March 11 to 15, 2024.

It aims to ensure the smoothness and orderliness of traffic

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo said the patrol and operation were focused on 33 locations spread across five areas of Jakarta simultaneously from 7.30 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 6 PM.

He explained that action against two-wheeled drivers going against the road had started on February 22, 2024, and would be held regularly twice a day in the morning and evening in several locations in Jakarta.

807 Vehicles Violated Traffic Netted in South Jakarta

"It aims to ensure the smoothness and orderliness of traffic," he expressed, Monday (3/18).

He explained the choice of location for enforcement action would be adjusted to the potential area where cross-directional violations occurred.

"In total, 1,205 vehicles have been ticketed and made in a dossier (BAP) from February 22 to March 15," he explained.

Hopefully, it could strengthen awareness and discipline in traffic through compliance with traffic signs, directions, and traffic officers in a bid to create smoothness, security, and safety on the road.

"This is also done to increase public discipline in obeying traffic orders on the road," he closed.
