Residents Storm Cheap Grocery Market in Semanan

Kramat Pela Urban Village Head, Achmad Syarief said the cheap market was realized in collaboration with the Horticulture Farmer Partners Market for the Ministry of Agriculture.

"Residents were very enthusiastic about queuing to buy what they needed this morning," he explained.

He explained the market offered beef per kilogram for Rp 105,000, 900 grams of buffalo meat at Rp 80,000, 1 kilogram of red onion at Rp 25,000, 1/4 kilogram of cayenne pepper at Rp 10,000, and 1/4 kilogram of red chili at Rp 10,000.

"One kilogram of eggs is sold for Rp 31,000, sugar at Rp 16,500 per kilogram, chicken at Rp 34,000 per kilogram, and one liter of cooking oil at Rp 14,500," he added.

He hoped that it could become a routine agenda ahead of Idul Fitri considering that the price offered is relatively cheap compared to prices on the market in general.

"Hopefully, this kind of assistance or collaboration for cheap food will continue. Thus, residents will feel the benefits of the government's presence," he stated.
