C. Jakarta Mayor Announces Normal Prices for Staple Foods as Ramadan Approaches

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, checked prices and stocks of food commodities ahead of Ramadan 1445 Hijri at Pasar Senen, Jalan Pasar Senen, RW 03, Senen Urban Village, Senen Sub-district, Friday (3/8).

According to Dhany Sukma, Mayor of Central Jakarta, the prices of necessities were still fluctuating based on monitoring results in the field.
"Some are down and some are stable. But some are increasing," he expressed, Friday (3/8).

"We'll routinely carry out cheap markets during Ramadan in every urban village," he asserted.
Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti added regular monitoring of prices and stocks of food commodities was done periodically.
"Rice is still safe and sufficient, including for the needs of Idul Fitri," he stated.
