Residents Storm Cheap Grocery Market in Semanan

The Cheap Staple Food Market held by Bulog together with the West Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) at RT 06/07 Field, Semanan Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-district, was enthusiastically welcomed by residents, Wednesday (3/20).

Public interest is high

West Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency Head, Iqbal Idham Ramid expressed the market activity took place from 8 AM to 12 AM.

"It aims to bring basic needs closer to the people," he expressed.

Cheap Market Held at RPTRA Widya Bahari Flocked by Residents

According to him, 2,000 kilograms or 400 packs of SPHP-type rice were provided which were packaged in five-kilogram sizes and sold for Rp 53,000.

There was also 100-kilogram Bulog Premium rice or 20 packs packaged in five kilograms per pack and sold for Rp 72,000, as well as 24-kilogram sugar, where each kilogram is sold for Rp 17,000, 60-liter bottles of cooking oil for Rp 14,000 per kilogram.

“Public interest is high. There are around 380 people who come to buy today," he explained.

The activity received appreciation from one of the RT 03/04 residents, Semanan Urban Village, Agustine Sinaga.

"Thank you for today. The price is cheaper than the market price. So, I bought premium Bulog rice, granulated sugar, and cooking oil," she admitted.
