From January to March 20, 2024, as many as 572 cats in West Jakarta have been sterilized.

West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) Head, Novy C Palit expressed that from 572 cats sterilized, 90 were from Grogol Petamburan Sub-district, 114 were from Kalideres, 46 were from Cengkareng, and 322 were from Kembangan.
"Sterilization targets stray male cats to prevent male and female cats from reproducing to reduce the cat population in Jakarta," she expressed, Monday (3/25).
