3,000 Basic Food Packages Sold at Cengkareng Sport Center

Jakarta Provincial Government makes sure basic food stocks remain safe ahead of National Religious Holidays (HBKN) Eid ul Fitr 1445 Hijriah. There were 3,000 packages prepared during the program. First package was 2,000 packages sold by Rp 100,000 for 5 kilograms of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 1 kilogram of sugar, and 1 kilogram of fluor.
Second package was 1,000 packages sold Rp 150,000 for 5 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of frozen meat, 1 kilogram of sugar, and 1 kilogram of fluor. There was also instant noodle sold Rp 10,000 for seven packs.
Jakarta Province's Bank Indonesia Representative, Arlyana Abubakar, stated this program should reduce food inflation rate.
"Here in Jakarta the program has been run since January 2024. And this program is to anticipate that people can get food at cheap prices.
One of local residents, Siti Aminah, thanked for the program held in her area. She hopes similar program can be held routinely to lighten residents' burden.
"Hopefully it can be held up to Eid ul Fitr. We can not get same package for Rp 100,000 at the market," she stated.
